A startrescue.co.uk story...

A video clip of a dog driving a toy car has taken the internet by storm, having amassed more than half a MILLION hits.

Normally dogs are seen with their heads hanging out of car windows, their ears flapping in the wind - on the PASSENGER side. But this one’s in the driver’s seat.

The one minute video shows a West Highland cross behind the wheel of a small red car, with a toddler enjoying a ride in the passenger seat. The hound appears to be looking around and calmly using his is paws to manoeuvre the vehicle.

However, as hilarious as the clip is, some Internet users are a little sceptical as to the canine's automotive skills. One Reddit user revealed that one can buy the very same car for $300 – or about £200 – with remote control installed.

But, Jessica Wolf, the lady who posted the video, insists the dog IS doing the driving. She said that the remote control system was only used to power the car and that her furry terrier really is managing the steering.

In the video description she says:

'Daisy loves to drive Oliver around in their car. Yes the car is a remote controlled car which I use to accelerate and stop (neither of them can reach the peddles [sic]... Haha).

'Yes she is really steering it. Hope you enjoy!'

But other YouTube users weren’t so easily convinced. In fact, one user called LAGGY MOO said:

"Clearly the dog isn't driving...

It's someone dressed as a dog driving."

What do you think - is the dog really doing the steering?
