We need to protect our customers and our Recovery Operators from incidents which have resulted in far too many fatalities in past years.

The people of the independent Vehicle Recovery Network play a vital part in our lives. When things go wrong for us on the roads they’re there whatever the weather, day and night. In many ways they are the fourth Emergency Service.
But the roadside is a hazardous place and there continue to be too many fatalities and injuries.
Steve Godbold was hit by a lorry on the M25 in September 2017. The driver was convicted of causing death by careless driving. Steve's partner, Sam Cockerill, is campaigning for greater awareness of the dangers roadside workers face on a daily basis.
We're supporting the ‘Slow Down or Move Over Safely’ campaign in a call for more protection for roadside workers and our customers by promoting greater road safety awareness.
