You don't have to worry about being stuck away from your destination when you breakdown. We will provide you with a place to stay if your vehicle can't be fixed at the side of the road by the recovery company and emergency accommodation is required.

No matter where you are, we will send out a local recovery operator so they shouldn't be too far away to rescue you. By using local recovery operators it means that money is going back into the local community.

Right now, you can save up to 25% on your travel insurance policy. Full details of this offer can be found within the Customer Lounge once you have purchased your policy.

What does a short term European Breakdown policy cover?

Roadside assistance

 Home assist

 Key assist

We will send help to the scene of the breakdown so you won't have to find someone to help on your own.

Our breakdown recovery service will cover you from your front door or any location less than 1/4 mile away from your house.

We will pay the call out and mileage to our Recovery Operator's garage or your home, (if closer) should you lose or break your keys.

Accident recovery

 Vehicle recovery

If you are involved in an accident in the UK or Europe we will look to get you to the most appropriate service, including getting your vehicle transported back to the UK depending on the situation.

If your vehicle can't be fixed at the side of the road or at a local garage on the same day, we will arrange for you to be taken home or to your original destination depending on your circumstances.

If the vehicle cannot be repaired within 48 hours or by your return, we will arrange for the vehicle, you and the passengers to be transported either to your home address, or if you would prefer and it is closer, your original destination within Europe.

Emergency overnight accommodation

Theft or vandalism

If your vehicle cannot be fixed in the same working day as you breakdown, resulting in you not being able to stay in your pre-booked accommodation, we will help with overnight accommodation including breakfast for you and your passengers.

If your vehicle is immobile due to theft or vandalism, we will recover your vehicle to your home address or nominated garage within a 5 mile radius of the home address. Should this occur whilst you're 1 mile or more away from your home address, we will assist with alternative transport.

Should your vehicle breakdown before you leave the UK on your trip, we can either reimburse the costs you incur for hiring a vehicle, so you can carry out your journey. Or we can reimburse the cost of rebooking your original sea or motorail crossing once your vehicle has been repaired.

We can rescue you at the touch of a button across Europe
