Adhering to the time-honoured Hollywood tradition of putting Brits in baddie roles, Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) seeks revenge on Diesel and co in the latest 'Furious' instalment, following the despatchment by the petrol heads of his brother Owen in the previous, London-based film.
Director James Wan sticks to the series' formula of ludicrous stunts and back-of-an-envelope dialogue to produce what is already proving a huge hit in the States.
British Furious fans will similarly lap up the eye-candy action sequences, including a breath-taking Azerbaijan skydive in armoured cars, as well as respectable attempts at levelling both Dubai and Los Angeles.
While one expects a fair few explosions in a Furious film, this one is positively peppered with them, as it is fist-fights and luxury car montages.
And as in the previous sextuplet of movies, there appear to be no consequences to the perilous high speed car chases, or armoured car sky-dives.
If only driving in real life was this much fun.
But Furious 7 isn't all high tempo entertainment. There's a poignant final montage of the late Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013 before filming for Furious 7 was complete. While Walker is in some scenes, his brothers assumed his role to help finish the film.
