Post-it notes are great for reminding us to do things - but as one motorist found recently, they can also be used as reminders NOT to do things.

Of course, we don’t actually know why his car, parked in Witham Station, was covered in post-it notes - but it must have been pretty serious!

The owner of said vehicle returned to find pink, yellow and green post-it notes all over his car.

'I particularly like the back windscreen wiper being picked out in orange post-its,' said one person on Facebook, after a photo of the car was posted online.

There was general sense of amusement after the image was posted on Instagram. However, some were concerned a litter problem might result from the presumably time-consuming prank.

But who would carry out such a stunt? A day after the vehicle had been snapped and posted to social media, an Instagram post by 'ballistikcheerleading' claimed responsibility for the hoot.

The pranksters are apparently a 'coed Cheerleading performance squad, Dancers and Showgirls based in nth Essex & Suffolk'. They posted a photo of the car with the caption: 'DON'T MESS WITH THE BALLISTIK BABES esp. BOBSTER !!!....

'So whilst Abe was at work today his car was lovingly redecorated by Bobster and accomplices.... #brightenupuourthursday #revengeattack #dontmesswiththebest #girlpower #ballistikbabes #jokes #banterfultastic #bethehadfundrivinghome.'

We do hope Abe, whoever he is, either reused or recycled the post-it notes - and that he doesn't annoy the Ballistik Babes again.
